One of the challenges I was recently set, was deciding what I was willing and not willing to do in my business. In doing this exercise it became very clear what my boundaries were. Boundaries that up until then, had become slightly blurred. To give you some idea of what I mean, here are a couple of examples: I am willing to trust the process for 6 months and see what happens; I am not willing to compromise my integrity. I am willing to absolutely share my knowledge and expertise to help people; I am not willing to de-value my expertise and the difference I can make. I am willing to work with motivated clients who want change; I am not willing to work with clients who want an easy fix. This list start to form some clear boundaries for me - I will not work with just anyone; I will share my knowledge and expertise with motivated people who want change. My integrity is paramount. You get the idea! After I had done this exercise and had quite a list I started to think of the crossover in everyday life. For those of you who follow me, you will know this is a common thread of mine. Look at how things crossover into everyday life and what lessons can be learned. This simple exercise so applies and can be used in lots of situations and experiences. If you are in a space that you are not comfortable with, what are you willing to do about it? If you are looking for change, what are you willing to do about it? These questions can be uncomfortable and challenging, but that is the whole point of the exercise. You need to know yourself and the commitment you are prepared, and not prepared, to make. If you are not ready to make some change, then you are not ready period, and any attempt will not be successful. If you are willing, then you need to plan what will get you to where you want to be. You need a structured approach and need to identify what support you need to get you there. Working with a coach can help you with this. The role of a personal coach is similar to a sport coach. It is to motivate and inspire people to reach their full potential. They encourage us to create our vision, to dream big, extend our thinking and challenge us to explore new and exciting possibilities. They do this by using a comprehensive tool-set with different tools and strategies. Working with a coach accelerates your success. Celebrity Oprah Winfrey has used a mind coach to accelerate her success. One of the world’s most powerful woman uses a coach to help her succeed. And if it’s good enough for Oprah it’s good enough for us right? If you are willing to trust me as a coach and mentor. If you are willing to invest in yourself. If you are motivated for change in your life then let’s connect and see if we are willing to work together. Just connect with me and we can hop on the phone.
